Wheatley announce software for the competitive water market

Posted: Tuesday 7th March 2017

Wheatley, a utilities software specialist, have announced the provision of messaging software for wholesalers and retailers in the water market, to automate key processes required as part of the introduction of competition to the market.

With 25 years of experience in providing software solutions to the gas and electricity markets Wheatley are specialists in building software capable of handling millions of industry data flows a year, as well as mission critical asset and workforce management software.

To achieve its goals in this changing market Wheatley acquired a new member of the team Simon Murray, as their Water Solutions Manager. Simon has an impressive resume with over 20 years of experience working in the water industry.

Wheatley pride themselves on being a technology-led company rather than a sales-led one, and work with their customers to build and deliver solutions that fit their needs. This means the approach taken is to speak to water companies themselves to understand their pain points and where a software solution may help make everything a little bit easier.

Using this industry knowledge and deep domain expertise Wheatley's first solution, is Emerald, is a complete relationship management solution that increases operational flexibility to operate from any location, provides full audit trails of all market communication all whilst reducing operational effort, removing data errors and complying with MOSL and recipient rule sets.

Simon Murray, the Water Solutions Manager at Wheatley said "I truly believe this is an exciting time for the water market, and also for Wheatley. The whole company is fully on board with what we are looking to do and I am eager to have the conversations with companies about any problems they feel could be mitigated by using a piece of software built to suit their specific needs, so we know we are building something useful to the market rather than an out of the box solution."
