The Environment Agency sources field instrumentation from CA Clase (UK).

Posted: Wednesday 13th September 2006

The Environment Agency has purchased 18 of the new WTW Multi 350i units from CA Clase (UK) to enhance its field analysis capability.

The WTW Multi 350i measures key water quality parameters such as pH, DO, conductivity and temperature in situ. CA Clase (UK) has many years experience of supporting the Environment Agency in such measurements, based around a long partnership with WTW.

The Multi 350i features all the analytical excellence associated with the WTW pedigree. Uniquely for field instrumentation it adds the benefit of storing internal stability checks for both sample and calibration data to provide validation of the measurements. The stored measurement and QC data can be exported as an excel file removing the need for paper records, often tricky to keep in the field, and eliminating transcription errors. The Environment Agency has a rigorous QA program to support their field measurements and their officers in the South West are particularly impressed by the stability of the pH electrode.

The WTW multi 350iís integral Quality Control features, enhanced by training and technical support from CA Clase (UK), provide a new level of confidence in data collected in the field.
