Posted: Monday 25th October 2010

Hampshire based WPL Limited process designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of municipal wastewater treatment systems and is a market leader in the supply of small-medium sized wastewater treatment plants to UK water utilities.

Recently Southern Water has extended its framework agreement with WPL for the supply of packaged sewage treatment plants, including spares, for the next 5 years. This includes WPL’s bespoke HiPAF range of Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF) plants which offer high performance, low running costs and options for packaged systems up to 250 persons as well as much larger modular systems for up to 3000 persons. The HiPAF can attain treatment quality of up to BOD 10mg/l, SS 10mg/l, Amm. Nitrogen 2 mg/l (with tertiary treatment).

In addition, WPL can also supply a range of tertiary and transportable biological treatment units designed to supplement existing on-site processes during times of repair/refurbishment, or during periods when the plant is not meeting the required discharge standards.

WPL’s scope of supply extends to conical tanks, filters, screens, sample chambers, control panels, kiosks plus remote monitoring as part of their service contracts.
