Leading iron technology solutions provider, Saint-Gobain PAM UK, has announced the launch of its new VortX range of cast iron floor drainage products for the commercial and construction market.

Described by the company as being the next generation of drainage solutions, VortX is available from September 2012 and will be supplemented by a new range of roof drainage products set to follow in the new year. Designed in accordance with BS EN1253:2004, the range comprises more than 60 components that can all be installed in conjunction to create complete floor drainage solutions.

Gratings and rodding eyes come in square or round shapes in nickel bronze or stainless steel for use with a variety of floor finishes and are available threaded or direct fit. .

Included in the range is a new removable bottle trap (patent applied for), which can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance purposes. The unique bottle trap incorporates a twist lock fitting of dip tube and cup. The fastening operation is simple and robust and being manufactured from ABS it offers excellent chemical resistance. The VortX floor gullies are manufactured in cast iron and are grey epoxy coated consistent with BS EN 877 standard, that can be trapped or non trapped. The cast iron vertical and horizontal shower drains are available in sizes of 60mm and 110mm diameter with decorative stainless gratings for tiled and vinyl floor finishes.

VortX is supplemented with a range of raising pieces, spigot adaptors, and reducing bushes in cast iron.

A set of funnels designed specifically for fitting onto VortX grates for condensate applications are available in oval or circular styles.

A key benefit for contractors and installers will be the opportunity to purchase these products together with cast iron pipe systems as a package from the same merchant distributor.
