Posted: Monday 1st March 2010

Ductile Iron Pipeline solutions provider Saint-Gobain PAM UK has released a brand new version of its acclaimed software package for the design and specification of both clean and dirty water pipeline schemes.

Version 3 of PipeSpec® has been fully updated to include BluTop™, the company’s complete system for small diameter pipe networks, and TAG 32, Saint-Gobain PAM UK’s new gravity sewer system.

PipeSpec® is an essential tool for specifiers and designers for calculations on embedment, hydraulics (full and part full pipes), embedment (for a range of backfill types), anchorage (for a range of native and backfill soils) and comparative pipe-laying costs versus steel, concrete and plastic mains.

PipeSpec® v3 is available as a freeware download from the Saint-Gobain PAM UK website, or as a free software CD for installation on a stand-alone PC. The CD can be ordered by completing the order form in the brochure request section of the Saint-Gobain PAM UK website at

Trevor Padley, Marketing - Technical Manager at Saint-Gobain PAM UK, commented: “PipeSpec® has become an invaluable tool for both pipeline designers and utilities consultants over the last few years. The latest version contains all the information on the very latest product developments to facilitate the specification of durable, cost-effective and fit-for-purpose systems.”
