Iron technology leader Saint-Gobain PAM UK, part of leading materials group Saint-Gobain, has created a short CGI video, available at to demonstrate the simplicity and flexibility of its new VortX range of cast iron floor drainage products.

The two-minute video, entitled ‘Simplicity Re-invented’, highlights the many features and benefits of VortX, by demonstrating how all components of the VortX range fit together to create one complete solution.

Benefits include its interconnectivity with other systems, adaptability for different floor types, flexible spigot options and availability in either nickel bronze or stainless steel. Developed specifically for the construction and commercial markets, the range comprises more than 60 components that can be combined to create complete floor drainage solutions.

Fully adjustable with a range of adaptors, the VortX range will connect to any pipework material, making installation a straightforward process.”

Included in the VortX range is a new removable bottle trap, which can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance purposes. The unique bottle trap incorporates a twist lock fitting of dip tube and cup. The fastening operation is simple and robust, while, being manufactured from ABS, it offers excellent chemical resistance.

VortX floor gullies are manufactured in cast iron, are grey epoxy coated consistent with BS EN 877 standard, and can be trapped or non-trapped. The shower drain range consists of vertical and horizontal bodies available in 60mm and 110mm diameters with decorative stainless gratings for tiled and vinyl floor finishes.

VortX is supplemented with a range of raising pieces, spigot adaptors, and reducing bushes in cast iron. A set of funnels designed specifically for fitting onto VortX grates for condensate applications are available in oval or circular styles. The range has been designed in accordance with BS EN1253:2004.
