Low energy filtration system

Posted: Tuesday 11th March 2014

Saving money and lowering the carbon footprint is essential in the water industry as it is for all industry throughout the UK.

To this end, Cougar Coatings [Waste Water] has developed a low carbon, recyclable, low energy filtration system for the treatment of waste water. Already installed and working in one of the UK water industries this type of filtration is...... for BOD removal and full nitrifying systems. The media used has many other uses.

Constructed without concrete - without the need of cranes or scaffolding. Gone are the expensive revolving distributors. They are replaced by a fixed distribution that can deliver to all or part of the bed depending on flows.

The media used is proven since the nineties and sold throughout the world. Its performance compares very favourably with others on the market, so much so that the assets needed using this media are much smaller in size.

There are many more advantages to be gained by using this method of filtration and because of that we feel we have a product that would be more than useful to all the water companies within the UK in these austere times.
