Kingspan Water Improves its Domestic Rainwater Harvesting Package for Builders

Posted: Tuesday 15th December 2009

Kingspan Water has made some significant enhancements to its market-leading domestic Envireau rainwater harvesting equipment.

The Envireau has become hugely popular as a low-cost installation for self-build projects and residential developments. These latest improvements are designed to improve the system’s durability and make it even easier to buy and install.

Its storage tanks, which hold the captured rainwater below ground, are now being manufactured in polyethylene which delivers quality, strength and durability for outdoors and yard stocking

All domestic Envireau systems from hereon will be sized according to average roof sizes and rainfalls, in line with British Standard BS 8515, making it far easier for a builder or merchant to select the correct product.

And the various elements of each Envireau system, including the tank and its additional components, which hitherto have been delivered separately on-site, will now be supplied together on a single pallet.

The improvements are yet further proof of the company’s ability to listen and innovate, according to Kevin Roe, Kingspan Environmental’s GB Sales Director.

“Our team is spearheading some of the latest advancements in this field, ensuring that our products meet the demands of the modern building environment,” says Mr Roe.

“Our aim is to make this niche technology more accessible and understood within the building trade.

“And having helped set the standards for the industry, we are now helping to deliver them. We have adjusted our Envireau product specification to ensure our products are in line with British Standards, so builders know that the products they are buying from us are fully fit-for purpose.”

Earlier this year, Kingspan Water’s entire range of solutions for rainwater harvesting was accredited with the prestigious Waterwise’s Marque of Excellence.

As well as the Envireau, its Raintrap products all reached the required standard to receive the stamp of approval from the UK’s leading authority on water efficiency.
