Insulate with INSUduct

Posted: Monday 22nd December 2008

Protect your water service from freezing this winter.

Another highly innovative product from Groundbreaker Systems; INSUduct™ is a purpose designed product that eliminates the risk of freezing water supplies in above ground situations – removing the need (and expense) of having to dig deep excavations for unprotected pipes.

Ideal for use on a variety of buildings such as new homes, urban regeneration, the Government’s “Decent Homes Programme” as well as for water repairs and lead piping replacements; INSUduct™ is easy to install, in many cases reducing work to hours rather than days so offering substantial reduction in labour costs and without the trauma and hassle of excavations in a property.

INSUduct™ offers a single, twin or larger water service pipe capacity in one unit and comes complete with ‘climbing facility’ allowing ease of attachment to the property at whatever height required.

The thermally efficient insulation has been tested to withstand temperatures of minus 150c for five days, which exceeds water regulation guidelines and standards; the housing is impermeable to eliminate infiltration of ground water.

With an eye on environmental issues as well as cost, the outer shell of the INSUduct™ unit is made from 100% recycled polypropylene and manufactured in the UK.

INSUduct™ takes either a 2 No 27mm (OD) pipes (barrier pipe) or 1 No 35mm (OD) pipe and interfaces with Groundbreaker to bring you an cost effective solution to water connection and pipe protection issues.
