In-situ analyser

Posted: Thursday 14th June 2012

Envitech’s NH3Sys_PBS1 is the only true in-situ analyser available for Ammonia Nitrogen measurement.

It is designed to work in both activated sludge basins and final effluents alike. In contrast to the ISE probe system it is not affected by sample pH or other interferants, making it an accurate and easily maintainable system. Typical installation times are 2-3 hrs, since it requires no separate enclosures, pumps, pipes or pre-treatments.

Normal routine maintenance is confined to reagent top up about once per month, and calibration is done automatically everyday. All the data and calibration statistics are logged giving a complete and verifiable quality audit trail. The measuring chamber and sensors are subject to a caustic wash during every measurement; hence although outer surfaces may foul the important elements are kept in pristine condition.

Large numbers of units have already been sold in the UK for both final effluent compliance monitoring and activated sludge process control, giving confidence about operational performance.
