Industrial effluent flow monitoring from Envitech

Posted: Tuesday 14th August 2007

The 4200 series from Teledyne – Isco, offers a range of different sensor technologies to be used both with and without primary structures, depending on the site constraints and precision requirements.

The precalibrated 4230 Bubbler with Isco flow insert is ideal for small pipes (6” min) with restricted access and no means of installing flumes or weirs. The bubbler may also be used in conjunction with Sira approved FMCert non-standard flumes and weirs, specifically designed for low foul flows and available through Envitech Ltd.

The 4250 area velocity device also does not require a primary structure, thus minimizing installation costs. The submerged probe and ultrasonic sensor systems complete the range.

All instruments include a hard copy printer, internal data logging, visual displays and digital and analogue outputs (optional). The instruments may be battery or mains powered, permitting one instrument to be used for both investigatory work and fixed site operation.

Installation of the “flow insert” or Area velocity sensor may even be achieved in deep restricted access manholes, without the need for entering the confined space by utilizing the “surface mount” tool.
