Flygt introduces the redesigned Ready pump from its portfolio of electric submersible dewatering pumps

Posted: Wednesday 16th May 2012

Flygt, a Xylem brand, has extended its comprehensive range of electric, submersible dewatering pumps to include the redesigned, lightweight and tough, Ready Series.

The smallest of the dewatering models, the Ready series is built to withstand tough use, easily removing contaminated water and water containing sand and gravel. Handling flows up to 100 GPM, heads to 50 feet and solids up to 1.5 inches in diameter, these portable drainage pumps are compact and engineered for repeated use, year after year.

Steve Heathcote, Product Manager for Flygt Dewatering Pumps comments:

“The Ready series complements our offering of electric submersible dewatering pumps and their compact size makes them suitable for applications where space is tight such as manholes.

“Weighing between 12 and 17 kg’s, these pumps are ideal for storing in service vehicles so that they can be easily transported for quick response in an emergency situation, flooding or clean-up operation.

“Ready pumps have cast aluminium outer casings, stator housing and polyurethane hydraulic parts which makes them tough enough to withstand the most difficult environments. There are three types of pump in this series; Ready 4 and Ready 8 are manufactured for the dewatering of construction sites and flood clearing, whilst the Ready 8S is a solids-handling pump designed for contaminated water.”

The Ready series is available in 50 and 60 Hz versions. Both versions offer the market leading technology synonymous with the Flygt name such as the Vortex Impeller for versatility, reduced wear and better handling of solids, as well as Spin OutTM technology to expel abrasive particles from the seal chamber.
