Concrete Comes to Pre-packaged Pumping Stations

Posted: Wednesday 9th September 2009

In response to the continuing need for traditional, concrete pumping stations, Broadway Systems has launched a concrete version of its well-established Combitank pre-packaged pumping stations.

Designed specifically as an economic option for Local Authorities and Water utilities, this new concrete Combitank still offers all the benefits of offsite manufacture associated with the standard GRP versions, coming completely ready to install, fitted out with all the necessary internal pipe-work, pump and valves.

Installation is quicker and easier than with traditional, site-built options. The components simply fit together on-site prior to lowering into the ground and connection to the system, with no on-site pipework, no confined space entry requirements, reduced excavation size and less site disturbance.

Available with either an integral or separate valve chamber and suitable for depths from 2 to 10 metres, each Combitank system is designed individually, with tank capacities to meet site requirements. Inlets and outlets can be preinstalled in any position or cut-in on site; pumps can be selected according to duty, efficiency and capability, or to meet Local Authority frameworks or agreements.
