All in one: D.O., NH4, & NO3 for wastewater treatment & control

Posted: Thursday 5th June 2008

The highly successful AmNiSys Ammonium and Nitrate monitor has now been upgraded to accommodate fluorescent DO measurement.

Performance in crude/settled sewage, mixed liquor and final effluent has all been proven, as has low level Ammonium detection in rivers for abstraction control. Now a complete package for wastewater aeration control is available in one unit, ideal for smaller and industrial works.

v NH4 for DO set point control

v NO3 for Anoxic period control &

v DO for blower control

No sample pumping, filtration or pre-treatment is necessary and the unit comes with a highly effective air purge cleaning system, often reducing attendance for cleaning and maintenance down to once per 6-8 weeks. It doesn’t require any chemicals for operation and it is truly a continuous reading rather than a pseudo continuous batch operation, particularly important for detection of transient pollution incidents in rivers or sudden input changes on industrial waste treatment plants.

Battery operation is available for short-term remote site investigation and solar and wind regeneration capability is currently being developed.
