A cutter pump with awesome power - it can even handle LEGO

Posted: Tuesday 22nd February 2011

It’s true – Aldermaston based Pump Technology Ltd. have a video showing just that and more on

This cutter pump, from their German Suppliers Jung Pumpen, is absolutely amazing. In the test facility there is a pump set up in a tank. They just feed it everything they can think of to watch it being destroyed while the unit just keeps on working.

Leather gardening gloves, towels, bed linen, rubber gloves, condoms, tights, sanitary towels, nappies, Lego and much more are all just cut to shreds and then pumped away with no problem at all.

This awesome power is a testament to German engineering from a company with over 100 years of history. Pump Technology say that it is the solution to overcoming many problems caused by blockages from the unbelievable assortment of “foreign objects” which find their way into other pumping systems.

The small additional cost of a high quality pump like this is insignificant when compared with the expense of the problems of breakages, down time and call out which other, less powerful pumps suffer.

Check out the video and if you think that this very different type of pump is of interest, give the friendly Pump Tech team a call – by the way they WILL answer the phone as they don’t have any electronic answering systems – and ask how they can help to cut out any pumping problems you might have.
