WRc the Centre of Excellence for Innovation in the water, waste and gas sectors is delighted to have been successful in securing the Scottish Water Framework for Asset Inspection and Testing.

The SR15 Pipeline Inspection and Condition Assessment Framework is for a period of six years, with an option to extend for a further six years and will cover inspection and condition assessment of all materials and diameters of pipeline across all regions of Scotland.

As part of an extensive new innovative Assess & Address® approach to pipeline inspection WRc were selected for the mobilisation and delivery of leading-edge survey technologies and techniques to help drive down the cost of pipeline operation and maintenance, deliver improved overall asset life, and ensure that the right amount of budget is invested in the right area at the right time.

Dale Hartley, Commercial Manager for WRc says “having already completed successful inspections of some of Scottish Water’s critical large diameter pipelines, securing this Framework Agreement will enable us to work even closer with Scottish Water in delivering lowest cost solutions to optimise asset lifetime and delay intervention time.”

WRc has also been successful in winning contracts with Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and look forward to establishing an operation in Scotland to ensure continuous delivery of the highest level of operational excellence to their valued clients in the region.
