Leading pump and pumping system manufacturer Wilo UK has announced a Framework Partnership with Anglian Water for the supply and installation of Wilo Borehole Pumps.

Anglian Water is a company at the heart of every single family and community in their region. The company not only delivers the highest standard of clean water to millions of homes but also manages every drop to make sure that the supply never runs out. The company supplies water and water recycling services to more than six million domestic and business customers in the east of England and Hartlepool. In addition, 76,355 km of pipes deliver billions of litres of used water to over one thousand water recycling works, where it is cleaned before transferring the water back to nature.

"Anglian Water is geographically the largest water and sewage company in England and Wales and operates in the driest region in the UK. Despite the challenges, 1.2 billion litres of water is delivered every day," says Simon Oakes, Director of Water Management, Industry and Energy Solutions for Wilo UK. "We are proud to be associated with a business like Anglian Water, that is supplying more than 4 million domestic customers with high-quality drinking water every day."

Wilo is supplying its entire range of borehole pumps - from Cast 316 stainless to UBA Bronze - all taking advantage of ceramic materials to improve efficiency, and reduce operating costs. Wilo is also pioneering the use of teflon for high ochre (ferrous water sites), which enables Anglian to extract water efficiently from wells that were previously not viable.
