Posted: Tuesday 24th January 2012

Waterwise Technology has secured a major contract from Crown House Technologies to supply all water treatment equipment to the new BAA Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport.

The new building which, when completed will be larger than Terminal 5 is designed to produce 40% less carbon than the existing buildings - water treatment systems selected for the project will significantly contribute to those energy savings.

The water treatment equipment being manufactured and supplied by Waterwise will include water softeners, ozone treatment systems, a cooling water effluent recycling unit and filtration units.

Jon Fielder, Managing Director at Waterwise Technology comments: “This is the largest single contract we have won to date and it’s fantastic that BAA is supporting manufacturing UK SMEs like ourselves. It really proves BAA’s commitment to supporting the local economy and that we can provide world class products at excellent value for money needed for this important project.”

Construction is taking place in two phases, the first of which is due for completion in 2013 and the second in 2019.
