Posted: Monday 27th August 2012

Castings Services Group (CSG), based in Telford, Shropshire has opened a new process valve and actuation division. CSG is the leading valve manufacturer and distributor in the UK marketplace, and produces an extensive range of products for the water industry.

This new investment focuses specifically on valve and actuator packages to the water and wastewater industries, and will provide the opportunity to offer a larger and more comprehensive range of services, and state-of-art products to both existing and new customers in this field.

The new facility which consists of a fully equipped workshop and test facility will offer engineers an excellent environment in which to carry out a range of engineering services, such as the fitting and commissioning of hydraulic, electric and pneumatic actuators as well as the manufacture of ancillary products.

Dave Warner, newly appointed Divisional Manager commented:

"The development of this new division was a natural progression for CGS, and adds value to our customer base. When I first joined CSG my first thoughts were about the potential to bring in complementary products to enhance the existing portfolio and to improve the quality of the branded products, which has now been successfully completed.

The range of valves and actuation we offer is extensive and I feel with our experienced pipes and fittings division we can offer a unique service to the contractor market. We don't just work off part numbers and price lists, we offer a much more personal and technical service, working with clients to engineer solutions and give them the most effective and efficient systems"

CSG has a range of their own branded metal seated gate and non return valves, working in synergy with this range of products the group has also introduced a vulcanised (rubber lined) range of butterfly valves, a resilient seated gate valve, bi-directional knife valves and a range of eccentric plug valves. These combined with quality electric, pneumatic & hydraulic actuators offers a compelling proposition for customers.

The exceptional level of knowledge amongst CSG engineers and technicians means that, in addition to supplying products using the single supply source approach, the CSG team are also able to work closely with contractors and utilities before and during the build in order to ensure the most cost effective and efficient system is installed.
