UK Verification Bodies to Support Environmental Technologies at Joint-Workshop

Posted: Wednesday 26th August 2015

The UKs Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) bodies will co-host a workshop aimed at raising awareness of the EU Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) scheme - a programme to help innovative environmental technology companies enter the market more successfully by independently verifying the specific performance claims of their new technology.

WRc plc, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and BRE Global will hold the one day event at WRcs offices in Swindon on Wednesday 7 October 2015. The event is free to attend but registration is essential.

The workshop is aimed at SMEs in the low carbon technology sector but is open to anyone with an interest in verification.

The agenda will focus on understanding the benefits of the EU ETV scheme, including a breakdown of what it entails, which technologies are eligible, examples of current technologies undergoing ETV, and how to obtain verification. This will be followed by a panel discussion and a networking session for those that wish to discuss their technology with one of the verification bodies present (BRE Global, WRc plc, or NPL).
