Steve Shine OBE moves on and John Abraham joins Veolia to Lead Water Business

Veolia, the leading environmental solutions provider and world’s largest water company has appointed John Abraham to head up its water business in the UK. He will be responsible for implementing the company’s forward-looking new water strategy and joins from MWH Constructors Inc and Treatment Ltd., where he was Chief Operating Officer.

He will succeed the existing CEO, Steve Shine OBE who has successfully completed his interim role to reposition Veolia in the water marketplace and developed a new long-term strategy to maximise customer value through operations and service optimisation. In recognition of his significant contribution to the water business, Steve is also a valued member of Veolia’s Advisory Board.

John will join Veolia in March as its Chief Operating Officer - Water and brings with him a strong track record of driving innovation and delivering business improvement and growth. He successfully led Biwater Treatment through its acquisition by MWH Global and will deliver a sustainable vision and strategy for Veolia’s UK water business.
