Situation Vacant - Irish Water require Head of Asset Management

Irish Water, Irelandís new state-owned national water utility, is being formed as an independent subsidiary within the Bord Gáis Éireann Group (Irish Gas Group). The new utility will be responsible for the provision of public water and wastewater services to over 1.5 million domestic and business customers. The creation of Irish Water is a key component of the Irish Governmentís Water Reform Programme and marks a major transformation in how water services will be delivered into the future.

The Head of Asset Management will be a member of the Irish Water senior management team and will establish and develop the asset management function within Irish Water as well as its core capabilities such as asset planning, plant and network operations, and capital delivery to efficiently manage Irish Waterís physical infrastructure. An asset management professional with significant senior experience in the utilities sector, the appointed candidate will be responsible for functional managers delivering efficient care for water and waste water assets to service the needs and expectations of Irish Waterís stakeholders. Relevant experience in the water industry is desirable.
