Siemens Industry Automation & Drives Technologies (IA&DT) has strengthened its offering to the UK water sector with the creation of a consolidated UK Water Sales Team to help fulfill the requirements of the water utility industry.

The new team amalgamates both the industry expertise and broad-based product portfolio found in the existing Siemens Industry Automation and Water Technologies businesses. The combined team now provides a single point of access within Siemens for water companies seeking the proven operational efficiency, environmental, quality and safety benefits that industrial technology deployment can deliver.

The team is under the day-to-day management of Andrew Reeks, who as UK municipal sales manager will lead the new service aimed at supporting the UK’s water utilities. He comments: “Siemens IA&DT takes the water sector very seriously and believes strongly that the intelligent deployment of integrated industrial technology solutions can help water companies meet some of the many operational, environmental and regulatory challenges they face.

“This newly strengthened offering allows us to work with our water company partners from a truly holistic standpoint, and we are in a strong position to meet their requirements across a wide range of automation and water treatment technology areas, including plant wide process control systems, disinfection systems, membrane filtration solutions, biological wastewater technologies, odour control solutions, water quality analysis and control, network sensors instrumentation and variable speed drives .

“The Siemens UK Water Team provides a single point of contact to enable water companies to access the broad scope of expertise, knowledge and industry-leading products. It will enhance our customers’ experience and further improve the partnership-based approach we have with the water sector so that we can help water companies use Siemens technology to drive business value.”
