SEAMS Operational Analytics team to help buy gifts for children staying in hospital this Christmas

Posted: Tuesday 10th December 2013

Leading analytics company, SEAMS Ltd, has launched a charity Christmas campaign which benefits children spending Christmas at four children’s hospitals charities across the UK including: Alder Hey Charity (Liverpool), The Children’s Hospital Charity (Sheffield), Birmingham Children’s Hospital (Birmingham) and Grand Appeal (Bristol).

SEAMS are asking for employees within utility, manufacturing, chemical or process organisations to fill out a short survey that includes four yes/no questions. The survey is aimed at giving SEAMS more insight into how companies are currently using Operational Analytics, one of SEAMS’ key offerings.

For each survey completed, SEAMS will donate £10 to one of the children’s hospital charities. The funds will go into the hospital charities Christmas funds and will buy a child staying in hospital over Christmas a toy or an experience chosen by the hospital’s charity.

SEAMS’ founder, Mark Engelhardt, says ‘There are a lot of children who, very sadly, will be spending their Christmas in hospital this year. We’re looking forward to hopefully helping to put a smile on their faces.’

Rachel Donohoe from Alder Hey Children’s Charity, says, ‘We have a Christmas Appeal each year to buy toys for the children who are in our hospital over Christmas. Santa comes to the Alder Hey to deliver the toys. It is a really exciting time for the children and we greatly appreciate any help that we receive to ensure each of our children has a toy at Christmas.’

If you work in a utility, manufacturing, chemical or process organisation and you’d like to exchange one minute of your time to buy a child a toy or experience this Christmas, please visit: to complete the survey or contact for an email version. Surveys can also be completed by phone by calling 0114 280 9000 and asking for the Communications Team.
