Pumps for Africa

Posted: Thursday 21st August 2014

Swansea based pumping company Samatrix are working alongside UK Charity Water for Africa to support them with their water projects in Africa.

The western world is such a throwaway society and without a second thought so many pumps are unfortunately thrown away. Samatrix will be collecting these unwanted, obsolete and faulty pumps from within the industry and shipping them to the team based in Africa. Later this year, Samatrix MD Samuel Munn will be starting a workshop within Africa where a team of locals can repair these pumps and put into service. Not only will reusing these pumps provide a real financial benefit but will also provide jobs within the community.

Says Sam Munn “We at Samatrix are very excited to be working with Water for Africa & look forward to contributing to such a worthy cause. Please help us by donating any pumps/parts that you may no longer require - many thanks in advance.”
