New Headquarters established for new business water retailer

A new water retailer for businesses across the UK has established its new national headquarters.

From April this year, Water Plus will provide a variety of services for businesses of all sizes as well as public sector organisations. Services include billing, meter reading, account management, water efficiency advice and lots more.

Water Plus is officially listed on Companies House this month and has moved into its new headquarters.

The company has been specifically set-up due to changes in the water market, to provide a focused approach for business customers.

Water Plus has already signed a number of deals with large organisations to be their water retailer. These include major sport and leisure business, David Lloyd - to supply water to all 84 of its UK sites.

The deal gives David Lloyd a single point of contact for billing for all of its health clubs and gyms, and a consolidated bill for wastewater, surface water drainage and trade effluent.

Before signing up with Water Plus, each of David Lloyd's facilities was serviced by its local water company, which meant the business had to deal with 15 different suppliers for billing and specific site issues.

Sue Amies-King, Chief Executive of Water Plus, said: "The water utilities sector is undergoing a major period of change this year and we will be explaining to businesses the benefits of greater competition including a stronger focus on customer service and that we've made sure that Water Plus has been built around the needs of businesses with a strong focus on service.

"We want to start the conversation with businesses on the benefits on offer to them, and, as we're getting closer to market opening, we'll be increasing this activity.

"We have highly experienced people who know the water industry inside and out but we are also absolutely focused on providing great services for customers, whatever their size - whether it is a business with one or two employees or one which is larger and has multiple sites.

We're here to take any pain away from multiple water bills for multiple sites and help make businesses more efficient with their water so they can spend less time and money in that area and focus on running their businesses.

"We are focused on providing a personal and innovative approach, especially through the digital channels. As we're already working with many customers in Scotland, where the market is open, we feel we'll be more than ready for the market to officially open in April this year."

Water Plus will also deliver a water efficiency plan for David Lloyd, including the installation of automated meter readers (AMRs) and leak detection across its sites.
