Stanton Bonna Concrete Limited announce the appointment of Glyn Woolley to the role of Chief Executive.

Glyn brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the UK aggregates and precast concrete industry, including a spell as Managing Director of Hanson’s former drainage business. Glyn has multi-sector experience having been MD with Electrolux and most recently he has been assisting private equity groups with strategy, acquisitions and business optimisation.

Stanton Bonna is part of the Consolis Group, Europe’s largest precast concrete producer, and is widely recognised as a leading UK manufacturer of precast concrete pipes and manholes which form part of a comprehensive range of Drainage Systems, Pressure Systems, Railway Products and Specialist Precast solutions.

The company manufactures for the water, highways, rail, industrial and commercial, housing, telecom and power sectors within the construction industry.

Glyn says “I feel privileged to be joining such a respected and renowned company within the industry. Stanton Bonna has an outstanding pedigree with an impeccable reputation for the quality of it’s products and it’s excellent customer service. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead and I am sure that, with the help of the first class management team I have inherited, we can broaden the product range and firmly establish Stanton Bonna as the preferred supplier of choice within the sector”.

Mike Ogden, who had been appointed by Consolis on an interim basis, was given a brief to assist with finding the best permanent replacement. He commented, “After a rigorous selection process, Glyn was selected as the obvious candidate to undertake this important role since his professional experience and expert strategic thinking stood out. His understanding of the future needs of the precast concrete industry combined with his extensive and diverse business experience will ensure that Stanton Bonna will have an even more significant presence within the market. These are exciting times at the moment with an increase in activity in infrastructure and house building and we are confident Stanton Bonna will play a major role within it.”
