Multi-Utility Connection Company Launched to Reduce Time to Completion for Contractors and Developers

Posted: Monday 14th May 2012

A new venture, Crown Utilities, will offer a fully accredited coordinated service for the provision of multi-utility infrastructure. Water, gas, electricity and telecoms can now all be installed in a single streamlined process.

The new business was formed following the merger of Crown Energy and United Utility Connections (UNC) and is headed by joint managing directors Keeley Downing and Andy Kay, who each bring substantial business experience in this sector.

“Dealing with separate utility providers is a thing of the past,” explained Keeley. “We provide a single point of contact for multi-service utility connections, eliminating the need to chase and co-ordinate with each primary service provider. We are pro-active in meeting all client needs; from design to installation we can provide a complete package from temporary site supply through to commissioning and energisation of sub-stations.”

The range of services is not limited to infrastructure construction. The company will undertake load surveys and planning prior to commencement of works. They can arrange meter removals, installations or relocations. Crown Utilities can even decommission and remove redundant sub-stations.

Andy Kay commented, “Under the UNC banner we built a strong reputation for meeting our completion promises and dealing efficiently with a myriad of difficult site issues. Now, as part of the Crown Group, we have access to substantial technical and financial resources for further development. More than this, Crown has a 65 year pedigree, an enviable growth record and culture built on customer satisfaction.”

Accredited by Lloyds for water, electricity and gas installations, Crown Utilities is also on the UK Gas Safe Register. As a company, they have also achieved ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 certification for quality, environmental management and health and safety.
