Leading construction and infrastructure company, Morgan Sindall, has been appointed as one of the capital delivery partners on the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water Asset Management Programme (AMP) 6 Framework.

Worth circa £25 million per annum to Morgan Sindall, the framework will run from April 2015 to 2020 with a review at the end of the AMP6 period which could lead to a five-year extension. Morgan Sindall already has an established working relationship with Welsh Water, having successfully worked with them on the last three asset management programmes.

During AMP6, Morgan Sindall will work with design partner Arup to deliver a variety of waste water infrastructure design and build works in order to maintain and upgrade Welsh Water’s assets throughout Wales. The projects will help realise the ambitions of the AMP6 business plan which includes maintaining high quality drinking water, safeguarding the environment, reducing the carbon footprint and providing excellent customer service.

AMP5 has seen Morgan Sindall delivering more than 350 projects across south Wales with a total value of circa £110 million.

Bill Gifford, Morgan Sindall’s Water Director says, “We are very pleased to be continuing our successful partnership with Welsh Water and look forward to starting work on the new projects next year.

“As part of the framework, we provide Early Contractor Involvement services ensuring we deliver best value and a high quality service to Welsh Water and their customers.”
