Dorset and Dumfriesshire based M&N Electrical & Mechanical Services Limited are delighted to announce their appointment as sole representatives of US based Hydro-Dyne Engineering Inc screens in the UK.

As manufacturers of custom built and heavy application mechanical screens, Hydro-Dyne selected M&N due to their extensive experience of supplying inlet solutions, and the company’s established servicing & maintenance resources.

Simon Light sales director of M&N comments:

“We have been in discussions with Hydro-Dyne for some time now and are delighted to have been appointed to offer their high quality applications across the UK and Ireland. The addition of Hydro-Dyne’s screens, our extensive Kuhn plant and in-house applications, enables us to offer 360° inlet solutions to the wastewater treatment sector”.

M&N will be offering Hydro-Dyne’s extensive suite of inlet screening solutions including; ‘Hydro-Flo’, ‘Triden Continuous Band Screen’ and ‘Triden Multi Rake Screen’ incorporating 3 screen grid options of Laced Link, Perforated Plate, or Stainless Steel Woven Wire Mesh.

Alongside these high quality screens M&N will also be responsible for sales of the manufacturers’ ‘Septage Receiving Station’, ‘Washing Compactor’, ‘Screw Conveyor’ and ‘Vortex Grit Removal Systems’.

Hydro-Dyne screens can be manufactured to dimensions of just 1.5m to a staggering 18m in height with screen widths ranging from 0.3 m to 2.5 m; maintaining flow rates ranging from 5 l/s to 5 kl/s.

One of the main USP’s of the new screens lies in Hydro-Dynes unique Guide Link Chain construction. Made from non-corrosive, low friction elements they feature such benefits as:

· Internal tracks (no bearings or wheels)

· Proprietary sealing (panel to panel, grid to frame)

· A minimum of 4 drive sprockets engaged at all times

With impressive screening benefits*, minimal servicing requirements due to construction and engineering fundamentals, M&N’s Hydro-Dyne portfolio offers the wastewater industry applications that are robust, can be custom built and will reduce whole-life costs.

* In 2011 Hydro-Dyne’s Hydro-Flo screen was submitted for testing by ThompsonRPM Ltd at the Chester Le Street National Screen Evaluation Facility (NSEF) in Northumbria, England. The 2 mm screen averaged a 93% screen capture ratio, while the 6 mm screen averaged an 84% respectively.
