Institute of Water launches Annual Conference 2016

Posted: Friday 11th March 2016

The Institute of Water has opened bookings for its revered Annual Conference. This year's conference, It's Water We Do Best, will highlight the immense pride across the water sector in the services delivered every day.

Through talks, exhibits and interactive speaker sessions, this two-day event will provide a platform to discuss a wide range of live topics for our sector. It promises to be thought-provoking, provide networking opportunities and include input from across the water industry and related organisations.

Speaking about the event, Conference Chair and Thames Water CEO, Martin Baggs, said:

"The event will put the spotlight on our core business - delivering high quality water and wastewater services to our customers 24/7 - with insights into how the water industry can deliver a world-class service through innovation and great customer service.

"We will consider water industry resilience not only for our customers but also the future protection of the environment. Our sector has a significant impact on society, through developing talent and providing career and learning opportunities - this is something very important to both the Institute of Water and me personally and the conference will allow us an opportunity to explore this further. With competition on the horizon, we will also consider whether we can all be unique while selling the same product. "Having worked in the water industry for 30 years, I am passionate about what we deliver and how we deliver it. This event promises to bring together what it really means to work in our ever-evolving industry today and in the future."

The Institute of Water Annual Conference 2016 takes places on 12 and 13 May at The REP, Birmingham. To book and to see a full programme please visit
