Government Procurement Service appoints WRc to a three-year environmental and sustainability framework

Posted: Friday 24th August 2012

WRc, the innovative water, waste and environmental consultancy, has been awarded a three-year framework by Government Procurement Service (GPS). The Environmental and Sustainability Advice, Support and Delivery Services (ESASDS) framework agreement (RM830) exists to provide access to environmental and sustainability advice across the UK public sector.

WRc’s appointment provides cross-cutting statistics services to underpin the full range of Government policy and technical advice made available through the framework, including services relating to water and waste.

WRc’s Managing Director, Mark Smith, said: “The award of this framework reflects the pivotal role WRc plays in ensuring environmental evidence is evaluated by applying sound statistical principles and presented as the basis for policy and operational decision making.”

WRc’s services can now be procured through this framework. The ESASDS framework complements other public sector agreements operated by WRc that include the Monitoring and Data Analysis Technical Service and the Environmental Toxicology Advisory Service (ETAS) for the Environment Agency and the WRAP (Waste and Resource Action Programme) framework.
