DJB Instruments UK Appoints New Managing Director

Posted: Friday 26th July 2013

DJB Instruments UK Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Neill Ovenden as Managing Director. Effective immediately, Neill will be responsible for all DJB operations both in the UK and France.

Many of DJB’s customers will already be aware of Neill’s involvement with DJB, he has been the General Manager since mid 2012 and during this time the company has gone from strength to strength with a range of new products, factory expansion and a growing footprint in the Global accelerometer market.

For the last 6 years Neill has run his own technical sales & marketing consultancy business, NDO Consultants Ltd, working with many of the UK’s major Defence, Automotive and Aerospace customers as well as guiding smaller companies through improved technical sales & marketing performance. With a mixed background of test and development engineering as well as technical sales & marketing with companies such as LMS International and Data Physics, Neill is well placed to take DJB into a new phase of Global growth.

DJB’s Chairperson, Sue Lever, said of the appointment……’Neill has pulled DJB together and put us back in the market as a real contender both in the UK and Overseas. Following the death of the company’s founder Don Birchall in 2009, we have struggled to get back to the success seen in the company’s history, Neill has shown that this is more than possible and we are very pleased he has committed to stay with the business.’

Neill added…’As soon as I walked through the door of the DJB factory I could see nothing but potential. A UK manufacturing business with a solid history, high quality products, knowledgeable staff and an extensive market to exploit is a rare thing and I am looking forward to seeing how far we can go over the next few years.’
