Chris Graham has been promoted to the role of sales director at Sykes Pumps from 1st September, with responsibility for developing and delivering the company’s sales strategy across all sectors, including utilities, construction, mining and offshore.

A pump specialist with a 31-year track record in the hire sector, Chris originally joined Sykes Pumps as pump development director in 2011. Since then, the company’s fleet has grown significantly across its national network of 30 depots and includes a significant number of new electric submersible, hydraulic and super-silenced diesel pumps.

Chris then became the company’s first ever major accounts director, a role designed to capitalise on the trend towards framework and preferred supplier supply chain relationships and to leverage the company’s enviable track record for repeat business.

His experience and knowledge of both Sykes Pumps’ fleet and the company’s customer base made him the ideal candidate to take on the role of sales director, which will see him manage and develop the company’s Field Sales and Major Account teams and build on its growing market share.

Comments Chris: “In the initial three years since I first joined Sykes Pumps I have seen the business go from strength to strength by building on existing relationships and ensuring we consistently meets our service level commitments.

“As sales director, I will take a very active role in ensuring that we continue to nurture those relationships while focusing strategically on the sectors and applications that best demonstrate our expertise and most closely match market trends and demand.”
