British Water Golf Day raised over £2,400 for charity

Posted: Wednesday 5th August 2015

British Water's 2015 Charity Golf Day took place at Bowood Golf and Country Club, Wiltshire on Thursday 25th June 2015 and supported by Water Active.

Now firmly established in the industry calendar this is a day to enjoy a challenging round of golf followed by a networking dinner and prize-giving. Open to all British Water members, non-members and their guests, the day is very much an occasion to enjoy good company and to raise money for charity.

This year's winners are:

Nearest the Pin on the 8th Hole - Phil Alsop

Longest Drive on the 12th Hole - Phil Alsop

Best Individual Performance of the Day - Jason Powell

Winning Team - Jason Powell, Phil Hall, Russell Maccabe, Matt Wilkes

Leading Lady - Amanda Cousens

This year, the participants raised over £2,400 for the two chosen charities

Water Aid: An International charity, which provides safe water to the world’s poorest people, whilst raising the fact that 2.5 billion people in the world do not have access to adequate sanitation and hygiene education.

Action for blind people: A national charity with local reach, providing practical help and support to blind and partially sighted people of all ages. We listen, we understand, we act.
