Tertiary cloth filter installation

Evergreen Water Solutions (EWS) was the selected contractor appointed by LIMA the United Utilities AMP 6 capital delivery partner for the Winsford STW operated by United Utilities. EWS scope of work included the complete commercial package of BIM, design, installation, commissioning, optimisation and the aftercare package for the mechanical and electrical works on site. Site civil works and project management were completed by LIMA. The tertiary process selected was the MITA Water Technology MSF 12/60 with standard 10 micron deep pile cloth filter supplied in a stainless steel tank. This process delivers ultra-low Total Phosphorous (TP) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). The MITA filter tanks were manufactured with an integrated removable access GRP platform and GMS hand rail to improve maintenance access. The MITA MSF 12/60 filter is made up of 12 (No.) cloth filter discs with a total filtration area of 60m². The design flow rate for the project was 28,400m³ per/day.
