Posted: Tuesday 21st April 2009

Painted green with special arched head frames to suit site aesthetics, these Ultrasecure high security doors are among the latest units to be installed as part of Technocover’s contract to supply LPCB approved doors toWessexWater.

In all, Technocover will be supplying in excess of 500 LPCB security rating 3 and 4 doors for toxic gas rooms, water treatment buildings and towers on 116 sites as part of Wessex Water’s current programme of security upgrades.

The contract includes survey, design, manufacture and installation of the doors with LPCB level 3 and 4 approved locking and ironmongery, in line with water company specifications, to complement existing locking suites from site to site.

The doors are being finished with Technocover’s advanced Duragalv post-galvanised coating for long life durability – in excess of 25 years. They are also being manufactured with different paint finishes and other superficial modifications to harmonise with the architecture of each site.

Technocover is also supplying Wessex Water with LPCB approved access covers as part of the latest security enhancements.

Ian Blair, Wessex Water Head of Health, Safety and Security, said: “Close cooperation has been required between site operational staff, our security programme team and Technocover’s fitters to ensure progress of work to schedule and installation standards.”
