Plain success for Chemineer mixers at Wessex Water Salisbury

Posted: Monday 23rd May 2011

Agitators made by Chemineer are producing highly efficient and cost-effective flocculation tank mixing for Wessex Water at Salisbury Water Treatment Works.

Designed with single 1.6 diameter impellers and 4.7m shaft lengths, the 2.2kW Agitators from Chemineer’s MR range were just part of a recent installation handled by Imtech Process.

In addition to its Agitators, Chemineer also supplied 450mm diameter Static Mixers from its WVM range of full-flow mixers, with wall-mounted injectors for chemical injection. All parts are made from Rilsan coated steel.

Daniel Hickman at Imtech Process, commented: “We considered Chemineer’s mixing the most suitable for this application with Wessex Water. The agitators are very reliable and the Static Mixers benefit from low head loss and an open, non blocking structure that makes them ideal for the job”.
