Gympie Australia Implements TaKaDu's Event Management Solution

Posted: Thursday 7th December 2017

Gympie Regional Council in South East Queensland is the latest Australian water utility to turn to TaKaDu's integrated event management solution to improve efficiency and reduce water loss. Covering an area of 6,898 sq kms, Gympie is implementing TaKaDu as part of a major restructuring project to make its water network smarter, which includes investing in automation and new devices, and the setting up of additional DMAs (district metered areas).

Gympie selected TaKaDu after evaluating how the technology is being used at other utilities in the region, including Unitywater, Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU) and Gold Coast. Council stated it is committed to managing its network to a very high standard and looks forward to TaKaDu playing a role in achieving this objective.

TaKaDu's automated cloud-based service enables utilities to detect, analyse and manage network events and incidents such as leaks, bursts, faulty assets, telemetry and data issues, operational failures, and more.

Amir Peleg, TaKaDu's Founder & CEO, said, "Having TaKaDu at an early stage helps utilities to implement a more efficient and accurate system for improving performance. The network can be better monitored, managed and controlled at every stage, with the processes already in place to cover different types of events and incidents. Customer service is also improved through quicker response times and a faster resolution of events."
