BSS Industrial has again demonstrated its drainage expertise by working with contractor Arthur McKay Building Services on the £65 million extension and refurbishment of The State Hospital in Carstairs, South Lanarkshire.

Due to its excellent product knowledge and comprehensive stock availability, the stand alone BSS Drainage branch in Bellshill was the ideal choice to work on the large scale project which includes accommodation blocks, administration offices, visitor facilities and an activity centre in addition to the refurbishment of the original Victorian building.

Thanks to its strong relationship with Polypipe Terrain, BSS Industrial was able to specify its Terrain T’rade range. As a high quality and yet cost effective soil and waste fittings solution that is fully compatible with other brands, it was the ideal choice for The State Hospital site.

Terrain T’rade, developed by Polypipe Terrain and offered exclusively through BSS Industrial, is manufactured in accordance with the BS EN 1329 and BS EN 5255 quality standards. The soil product is a push-fit system available in battleship grey colour in both 4 and 6 inch sizes. The waste product is solvent-weld available in muPVC ice white colour and available in 1¼, 1½ and 2 inch sizes. Terrain T’rade is aimed at the repair market, local authority works, public buildings of all types, including schools and medical centres and also residential apartment and multi-occupancy units.
