Aussies bowled over by Chem Resist

Posted: Monday 5th October 2009

Dewsbury-based Chem Resist continue their recent run of sales successes with a £67,000 order from Australia – against strong competition from local companies down under.

Klen International have their HQ at Wangara, near Perth in Western Australia, and are taking delivery of a Sulphuric Acid Dilution Unit developed by Chem Resist over the past twelve years – a technology already doing sterling service in Russia, Czech Republic, Poland, Algeria, Egypt and here in the UK amongst others…

Klen is a highly respected specialist in the manufacture and distribution of cleaning and sanitation chemicals for the food, beverage, dairy and hospitality industries right across Australia and the new unit will help the company bulk buy concentrated sulphuric acid more efficiently and then dilute as required at their own plant.

Seamus Quinn, chairman of Chem Resist, said Klen chose Chem Resist because of the Yorkshire company’s world-leading status in the design and manufacture of spiral wound and corrosion resistant thermoplastic chemical storage tanks and process vessels: -

“The Unit has a proven track record of efficiency, performance and safety – an obviously important consideration when dealing with concentrated sulphuric acid – and when a company with the status of Klen chooses Chem Resist it sends all the right signals to worldwide markets about our expertise here in West Yorkshire!”
