Aerzen’s High Efficiency Low Pressure Screw Assemblies installed at UK Biomass fuelled Power Station

Posted: Wednesday 25th September 2013
Aerzen Machines Limited has supplied 37 of their high efficiency low-pressure compressor assemblies to one of the UKs largest Biomass fuelled power stations.
Designed to operate at below 1.5 BarG, the compressors will be used to provide 100% oil-free air for transporting biomass material. The Aerzen units offer exceptionally low whole-life costs through a combination of IE3 motors as standard, efficient compression rates and the fact that air is not over compressed to higher pressures such as 4 BarG and then allowed to decay down to the operating duty and in the process wasting power. These units have other innovative features, such as:
· Special bearing assemblies, having an operating life that exceeds 60,000 hours.
· Specially formulated oil that does not require changing for 2 years.
· AERtronic controller, providing strong protection against failure modes and data logging.
· All maintenance can be carried out from the front panel, enabling the assemblies to be mounted side-by-side, thus reducing the footprint size.
Aerzen Machines Ltd offer a 24 hour service helpline to support our products in the field, with full repair, spares and rental options available UK and Ireland wide.
