United Utilities extends AUMA framework

Posted: Wednesday 14th May 2008

A framework contract awarded to AUMA actuators has been extended to full term. Originally awarded in 2005, extension options have been confirmed taking the total term to five years with completion in 2010.

Representing the largest UK framework agreement awarded to AUMA, the manufacturer of modular actuators will continue to supply multi-turn, quarter-turn actuators and intelligent bus systems to the FTSE 100 listed organisation.

Commenting on the framework extension, United Utilities’ Category Lead, Lorraine Morton said: “The decision to extend the framework for actuators with AUMA was a collaborative decision taken by United Utilities’ stakeholders including our Technical Authority, Operations & Maintenance engineers. AUMA has proven to be proactive in its approach to developing a long term relationship with UU: we have also been impressed by AUMA’s commitment to intensive training at UU sites.

“The framework agreement extension provides best value for UU and is set to bring a continuation of the benefits and improvements to actuation systems that have been made over the past two years.”

With 140 water treatment works managed by United Utilities, securing the framework agreement has been a major contract coup for AUMA which reinforces the company’s position as a leading supplier of actuator products to the utility sector.
