NAYLOR DRAIN HELPS NEWCASTLE PUNTERS
Posted: Monday 20th June 2016
A major development project at Newcastle Racecourse recently completed after 6 months' work by Cumbria based contractor Stobart Rail.
The project started in September 2015 and constituted an £11m upgrade including installation of an all-weather Tapeta surface. The project followed a lengthy consultation period and subsequent approval by the British Horseracing Authority. The racecourse owners, Arena Racing Company anticipate considerable benefit from the scheme, which will allow future meetings to go ahead which might otherwise have been cancelled due to wet weather.
Around 30,000 metres of pipe were supplied - primarily Naylor Metrodrain Twin Wall Drainage in sizes up to 600mm.
